Time flies when you’re having fun!
Since reaching the sub 100 days milestone time has been on fast forward – today, somehow, we’re at 33 days ‘til my Hen Do and 82 days ‘til the big day! Once we’re married I hope time will slow down, it feels like everything is moving too quick.
Last weekend I was completely spoiled by the gorgeous WAGS, now renamed WAFS following a recent dreamy engagement. I was taken into London for a day filled with prosecco, crazy golf, cocktails and laughter, followed by a night of cheese, old school R&B and even more giggles! We had so much fun and it was ridiculously lovely of these wonderful ladies to go to so much effort! It’s crazy to think once upon a time we didn’t know each other at all, but now thanks to our amazing boys, a beautiful friendship has blossomed, one that I am super thankful for and look forward to growing through the years!
Wedding Day wise everything is now done… which is bloody scary – surely I’ve missed something! I know I’ll have done something wrong which will result in a last minute panic. I’ve had confirmation today that my dress has been delivered, so Mum and I are headed back down to Southampton on the weekend to check it over and pay the balance. It will then be taken by the shop owner to the seamstress ready for my first fitting on 17th June. Which means I have 31 days until I need to be in the shape I want to be on the day – I’ve already cut back massively but still got a way to go. Chocolate is my weakness in life (I literally love it!) but the time has come and we have to go on a break!
Our Wedding Coordinator at The Elvetham has reached out to schedule our ‘Final Details Meeting’ to go through the final numbers, menu choices, itinerary and supplier details. I have all of this information ready on my trusty OMG We’re Getting Married spreadsheet so am feeling pretty organised and excited to get it scheduled. We’re giving notice next week too, which should be interesting – I have no idea what to expect… I just know that we have to take a lot of paperwork and copies of documents!
I also had a lovely little surprise package delivered to work today – our evening invites 🙂 We’re inviting 45 friends and extended family to join us in the evening. I’m a little worried I’ve left it too late to send their invites but hopefully it will be fine. I ordered them via Etsy from Lena at Lemon Wedding and it was the quickest and easiest process, ever – she was fabulous! They were posted from Israel which is why I was so surprised to have a delivery today, I’d thought it would take longer than it did!
Amongst all of the excitement and, as much as I’ve wished time would move faster and then slower, I have noticed I’m starting to feel a little anxious and nervous. Ryan and I have never even had a birthday party so the reality of the Hen Do and Wedding being for me / us is suddenly slightly scary! As a crier I don’t know how I’m going to make it through either without being a complete mess!
Eeeeeeek 82 days to go …
